Communio. International Theological Review supports transparent and ethical scholarly publishing practices and follows internationally recognized principles of academic publishing ethics in the peer-review and editorial process.

The Editorial Board follows the recommendations and ethical principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Duties of Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to  are expected to:

Ghostwriting, guest authorship, and any other forms of unethical authorship practices are strictly prohibited.

Authors are required to disclose the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the preparation of manuscripts. AI tools may not be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all content submitted for publication, including content generated or assisted by AI tools.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet academic, ethical, or editorial standards.

Plagiarism and Academic Misconduct

All submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection and similarity-checking software.

The journal does not tolerate:

Manuscripts containing evidence of academic misconduct will be rejected. In serious cases, the Editorial Board may notify the authors’ affiliated institutions.

Archiving Policy

Communio. International Theological Review places particular emphasis on the long-term preservation and permanent accessibility of its published scholarly content. The journal supports digital archiving and secure electronic storage of all published issues in order to ensure permanent academic availability and citation continuity.

The electronic versions of the journal are archived on the journal’s official website and preserved in digital repositories and institutional databases cooperating with the Editorial Office.


Corrections and Retractions
The Editorial Board reserves the right to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions, or apologies when necessary.

If significant errors, ethical violations, or academic misconduct are identified after publication, appropriate editorial action will be taken in accordance with international publishing ethics standards.

Open Access and Copyright
 provides immediate open access to its content under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

Authors retain copyright to their work while granting the journal the right of first publication.
