Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n As early as in the 1920s and\n1930s commentators located chiliastic and millenaristic ideas in the ideology\nof communism and national socialism. This implies the thesis, that the\nmillenarianism motives contributed to the sucess of communism and nazism. The\nin-depth analysis of recent research underlined this supposition. However, the\nsignificance of apocalyptic or chiliastic ideas for the consciousness of the\nNazi leaders and for the acceptance of its policies among the population is\nstill disputed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Keywords<\/strong>: political religion, political theology,\nphilosophy of history, Third Reich, eschatology<\/p>\n\n\n\n Streszczenie<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Ju\u017c w latach\ndwudziestych i trzydziestych komentatorzy sytuowali idee chiliastyczne i\nmilenarystyczne w ideologii komunizmu i narodowego socjalizmu.
