Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The purpose of this study is to\nanalyse Karl Barth\u2019s contribution to the theology of work. Although the Swiss\ntheologian accepts Protestant classical view of work as a vocation, he develops\nhis own idea of work. Dealing\nwith the subject of human work Barth puts a strong emphasize on a relationship <\/em>rather than on principles<\/em>. This is important especially when the\ntheology should provide reasonable arguments against the ideological support of\nhis contemporary culture that created capitalism and the war. \nThe crucial point for Bart\u2019s understanding of human work is the Command\nof God which calls man for the active\nlife<\/em>. The author of Church\nDogmatics <\/em>believesthat there is\na vital connection between God\u2019s calling of man and man\u2019s responsibility in the\nplace of his calling. Such a responsibility must never be reduced just to the\nfulfilment of man\u2019s professional duties.\nIt requires a total obedience to the concrete call of God in particular\ncircumstances. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Keywords:\n<\/strong>theology of work, Karl Barth, the Command\nof God, Protestantism, capitalism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Streszczenie:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Zasadniczym\ncelem niniejszego studium jest ukazanie wk\u0142adu Karla Bartha w rozw\u00f3j teologii\npracy. Chocia\u017c Barth uznaje klasyczne protestanckie rozumienie pracy jako\n\u201epowo\u0142ania\u201d, to jednak rozwija on w\u0142asn\u0105 koncepcj\u0119 teologii pracy. Podejmuj\u0105c\nzagadnienie ludzkiej pracy szwajcarski teolog znacznie mocniej akcentuje rol\u0119 relacji <\/em>ni\u017c zasad<\/em>. Jest to szczeg\u00f3lnie wa\u017cne, gdy teologia ma dostarczy\u0107\nprzekonuj\u0105cych argument\u00f3w przeciw kulturze wspieraj\u0105cej ideologi\u0119 kapitalizmu i\npolityk\u0119 wojny. Kluczowym punktem dla zrozumienia prezentowanej przez Bartha\nteologii pracy jest odniesienie do Przykazania. Autor Dogmatyki ko\u015bcielnej<\/em> jest przekonany, \u017ce mi\u0119dzy Przykazaniem a\nmiejscem, w kt\u00f3rym cz\u0142owiek przez Boga jest zawezwany istnieje niepowtarzalna\nsytuacja odpowiedzialno\u015bci.
